The basic ThreatSTOP service is sold as a monthly subscription at a price depending on the number of firewalls using it and their size. Discounts are available for customers who sign up for annual or semi-annual billing in advance. As detailed below we also offer a community account, at no charge, which provides a very basic level of service.

We currently offer some additional products and services and are always interested in offering enhancements and custom alternatives based on customer feedback. Contact our sales teams if you want more details and pricing for our more complex offerings.

Since we use DNS to distribute the ThreatList to our subscribers our DNS servers have been carefully set up to avoid issues such as cache poisoning and other DNS attacks. They are not limited to resolving our own domain but can function as a standard DNS resolver. A subscription to ThreatSTOP permits a subscriber to access ThreatSTOP's DNS servers for authoritative resolution of any domain name with a daily limit on the total number of requests depending on the class of the system making the query.


ThreatSTOP Subscription

The pricing below is our standard list price; if you have an offer coupon/code you may be entitled to a lower price and the discount will be applied when you sign up.

We have divided the firewalls we support into three classes based on size. If you are unsure then please contact our sales team to verify which class your firewall is.

Class A Systems

$199.95 per month

Class A Systems are those protecting the largest sites and data centers. Typically these firewalls protect networks serving thousands of users or dozens of servers (or both) and are connected to the Internet via a well utilized high bandwidth link.

Example Class A systems are:

Class A systems may make up to 20,000 DNS queries per day. If an IP address is responsible for more than 20,000 queries per day on a sustained basis we may request you to pay for additional Class A systems if you do not have other devices on your subscription


Class B Systems

$99.95 per month

Class B systems are those in use in medium to large branch offices and medium enterprise sites/data centers. They will be protecting a hundred or more users or 10-20 servers

Class B systems may make up to 10,000 DNS queries per day. If an IP address is responsible for more than 10,000 queries per day on a sustained basis we may request you to pay for a Class A system if you do not have other devices on your subscription


Class C Systems

$49.95 per month

Class C systems are everything else. Essentially these are the ones that protect small branch offices, remote offices, home offices and small enterprises. Typically these will be protecting 50 or fewer users and a couple of servers and will be connected to the internet via ADSL or similar at speeds of around 10-20mpbs (combined uplink and downlink)

Class C systems may make up to 5,000 DNS queries per day. If an IP address is responsible for more than 5,000 queries per day on a sustained basis we may require that you pay for a Class A or B system if you do not have other devices on your subscription


Additional Services

We offer two standard additional services priced a follows:

Enhanced reporting

$39.95 per month per device

Typically you will only have access to one month of historical data. If you desire reporting for the last year with data export, summary downloads and/or the ability to run other more complex reports then you should choose this option. Enhanced reporting is an alternative to other third party log-parsing services and is competitively priced compared to them

Raw ThreatList

$1,995 per month

The ThreatList is updated every 2 hours and can be pulled using SFTP.

It is delivered in a DSHIELD block list format. This is typically useful for service providers, large enterprises and law enforcement agencies who need to perform analysis of suspected criminal activity.

Custom Services

We have additional custom services targeted at MSSPs or SOCs for use in SEIMs, and developer access to data with rights of republication is available under contract. Standard products are end-user license only, and data is watermarked.

We can also offer software and equipment vendors attractive pricing for customized products that are integrated with their own product lines.

Community Account

A community account is free. Community accounts allow the subscriber to register one IP address which will have access to a basic, non-customizable block list consisting of the DSHIELD blocklist and other sources as selected by ThreatSTOP. Community accounts may use our DNS servers for address resolution for up to 1000 queries a day. As a condition for access community users must submit firewall logs regularly. This log information will be used for our own analysis and will be submitted to DSHIELD as part of the threat analysis process.


15 day trial, Long Term Discounts and Price Protection

All service levels come with a 15 day cancel or buy trial.

Subscribers who sign up for six months or one year in advance will receive six months service for the price of five months. This applies to all our standard services and may be combined with other discount offers.

In addition if you wish to sign up for a longer period than one year we will guarantee to not raise our prices for up to three years in total. Please contact our sales teams if you wish to take advantage of this offer.


Billing, Cancellation and Refunds

Monthly subscribers will be billed every calendar month after their sign up until they notify us of cancellation. Annual and Semi-Annual subscribers will be billed for renewals one year or six calendar months respectively after their initial sign up.

Monthly subscribers are not entitled to refunds. If you wish to cancel then please inform us five working days before your renewal day in order ensure that we do not charge you an additional month by mistake.

Subscribers on annual and semi annual plans who wish to cancel will be refunded assuming that they were on a monthly plan. If you cancel during the final months you will not be entitled to any refund. You must inform us one month before the renewal date to ensure that you are not charged for additional time, and five working days before the end of the month if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
